A versatile general-purpose clay with a medium to coarse texture. Designed for rich reduction effects, Rod’s Bod fires to a warm brown in reduction with iron specks that often bleed into glazes, creating characteristic brown flecks.
Suitable for all hand building techniques and potters of all skill levels. Slightly coarse on the wheel but holds up well during throwing. Thick-walled or large pieces may be prone to cracking. An excellent choice for wood or gas firing.
