Micro Crystalline Modelling Wax

Microcrystalline modelling wax is a flexible, amorphous petroleum-based wax widely used for sculpting, direct modelling, and bronze investment casting.

Properties and Uses

• Flexibility: Unlike brittle paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax contains fine crystals that give it superior elasticity, bending capabilities, and tackiness.
• Casting & Sculpting: Frequently used as "victory brown" or dark sculpting wax because it holds fine details exceptionally well, exhibits shadows for easy visual feedback, and burns out cleanly without ash residue.
• Melting & Working: Melts cleanly into a liquid (typically around 68°C to 82°C depending on the specific blend) and can be hand-modelled when slightly warmed
